Evidence retention and audit integrity
Set evidence and audit retention preferences, preview purge impact, and export audit JSONL with SHA-256 integrity headers.
Evidence retention and audit integrity
Owners and Admins manage retention under Administration → Retention (and related audit export actions).
Retention preferences
- Open retention settings.
- Set evidence and audit retention windows that match your legal and security policy.
- Use preview to see how many rows a purge would affect before enabling automated cleanup.
- Save only after change approval.
Live audit rows may be archived into a dedicated archive table by retention jobs. The database enforces append-only behavior for the live audit stream. Formal WORM storage and a concurrency-safe tamper-evident chain are not GA claims.
Audit JSONL export
- Open Audit Logs or Security Assurance export actions available to your role.
- Export JSONL for the requested window.
- Capture the
X-Trustity-Export-SHA256response header with the file. - Store the file and hash together for evidence packages.
The SHA-256 header is integrity metadata for the exported bytes. It is not a cryptographic digital signature or third-party attestation.
